“May The Force Be With You” ; The Secret of the Tongue (Part 1)

"May The Force Be With You" ; The Power of the Tongue
I was 35 years old in 1977 and had been a Christian for five years. Two of my best friends and I decided we were going to take our wives out for the evening to see the first showing of Stars Wars in our city.  Actually, it was pretty much a “guy thing” to go that night but the ladies wanted to show us they too were interested in seeing, if it was up to all the media hype or was this just a  “guy action flick”.  When we all arrived, there was a waiting line that went around the entire theater and part of the parking lot.  “Do we want to see Star Wars that bad?”  We waited in that line for two hours [I was a lot younger on May 25th, 1977]. After the movie was over and the crowds began to disperse, are exuberance was encapsulated as we got into our cars with this familiar expression:  “May The Force Be With You” , then we all left in separate cars in different directions.
What is a “FORCE”:  A force is when things are re-arranged and changed, like dynamite.
James 1:26  “If anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person’s religious service is worthless (futile, barren).”
James 3:5-7,  “Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things. See how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze!    And the tongue is a fire.  [The tongue is a] world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth (the cycle of man’s nature), being itself ignited by hell (Gehenna).”
Verse 8,  “BUT the human tongue can be tamed by no man.  It is restless (undiscipled, irreconcilable) evil, full of deadly poison.”
Fire is neither good or bad. It how it’s used — The Good Kind of Fire
God’s Word is conceived in your heart, formed with your tongue, then released out of your mouth.  What is released is the ability of God that is within you; it’s a spiritual force released.  Healing, prosperity, deliverance can be  conceived in your heart when you have the confidence that originates from God’s Word; conception then occurs.
Joshua 1:8 says,  “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night…  For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.”
How long should you MEDITATE on the Word of God?  Till you hear something, even if it takes “day and night” or more!  Someone once said, “You have to work on something before something happens”.  You are going to have to work or labor in God’s Word for something happens (B.Y.O.W.D.). [ Be your own Word Detective].  “Meditate” can mean “when you speak the Word”.
Creative  power happens when Word-seed is conceived in your heart, meditated on and formed, then released by your tongue and mouth.  The Apostle Paul had God’s ability formed in his entire body, soul and spirit.
Philippians 4:13  Paul says,  “I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].”
In verses 11, 12, 13,  Paul explains how he lived;  “I have learned how to…” ;  “I know how to…“,  “I know also how to…”;  “I have learned in any and all circumstances…”,  “I have strength for…”  because of Christ’s ability on the inside by:
1.  CONCEIVED in His Word.
2.  FORMED with his tongue.
3.  SPOKEN with his mouth.
Then the Spiritual Force happened in Paul’s life.
The answer is in your Bible, “Words are the most powerful thing in the world”.   John 1:1 says,  “IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.”
THE BEGINNING.  Learning to be a co-Creator with  your “Daddy”.
Genesis 1:1-2 teaches us God’s example on how Words get rid of the mess; the chaos between verses 1 and 2:
“IN THE beginning God (prepared, formed, fashioned, and) created the heavens and the earth.  The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep.  The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters.”
In Verse 3, we can see how God fixed the mess — “And God said, …”  Words are spiritual containers.  God’s confidence is instant (verse 4, “And God saw …); not like our confidence which is lacking.  As an example of “lack”, you shouldn’t say, “I need an increase in my job”.  You should say,” I need an increase in me!” Then, you can be reaching out of your heart what was already there with strong confidence.  When THAT happens, Life happens!
UPHOLDING ALL THINGS by the Word of His Power:
Hebrews 1:3  “He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty WORD OF POWER…”
Everything in the Universe is held up by His Word!  The attacks that come into your life are just to identify the things in you that need to be changed.  Genesis 1:3 reads,  “And God said, …”  then we see it.  God said, … EVERYYTHING!  It was invisible first but it was still  “a thing“.  It might be invisible first, but it still is “a thing“.
The Spoken Authority and Dominion given:
Genesis 1:26  “God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over…all the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.”
In verse 26, God is saying,  “let’s make man-kind like God-kind” —  you can make a duplicate but not the original.  Psalm 104:30 says,  “When You send forth Your Spirit and give them [man] breath, they are created, and You replenish the face of the earth.”
In Genesis 2:7, the “TORA” (the Hebrew text) says, “man became a living being” or “speaking spirit”.  Since God is spirit and breathed the breath or spirit of life into man’s nostrils, man became a “speaking spirit”, with authority and dominion over all “things”.  Man-kind became a “co-Creator” on earth; man was made a god (small “g”) on earth.
My next blog,Part 2,  will be about “The Creative Power of the Word”.  Words are a creative FORCE.
