“And if you belong to Christ [are in Him Who is Abraham’s Seed], then you are Abraham’s offspring and [spiritual] heirs according to promise. Now what I mean is that as long as the inheritor (heir) is a child and under age, he does not differ from a slave, although he is the master of all the estate; But he is under guardians and administrators or trustees until the date fixed by his father. So we [believers] also, when we were minors, were kept like slaves under [the rules of the Hebrew ritual and subject to] the elementary teachings of a system of external observations and regulations. Galatians 3:29—4:1-3 from the Amplified Version of the Bible.
As believers in Christ Jesus, we have become heirs to the promise (Genesis 17:7). BUT…if you don’t become mature as the children of God; you don’t grow up and you can’t get what you deserve.
In the world’s system, the “they’s” in our lives tell us that when we turn eighteen years old, we become adults. Now we all know that is not the absolute truth. Yes, you can vote at 18; join the arm forces and get married without adults permission, yet society still thinks the magic age of becoming an adult is twenty-one. That is the worlds way of thinking. But what about God’s way of thinking regarding the maturity of believers? Turn to I Corinthians 13. I love how the Amplified Version defines LOVE in Verse 1, “LOVE (that reasoning, intentional, spiritual devotion such as is inspired by God’s LOVE for and in us),…” Paul then goes on talking about the “love connection” concerning maturity in verse 11,
“When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; now that I have become a man, I am done with childish ways and have put them aside.”
Paul is saying you can’t be a spiritual man until you mature in LOVE. “Kingdom Prosperity” will always be insulated by LOVE. We make decisions inline with LOVE. That’s maturity and the opposite is true for immaturity. Money is only an amplifier to prosperity, not the source.
JESUS in His ministry always had money, wherever He went. He even traveled with His own treasurer by the name of Judas. How many people do you know that has experienced that luxury? The money He carried was always for the LOVE of others. I Timothy 6:10 tell us that if we have the right attachment to God. Money will come, for money is for “loving”!!!
If the desire for prosperity and success is what you want and you are not seeing it yet, growing up comes first. Psalm 122:6 lays it all on the line when it says,
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they prosper who love you [the Holy City]!” True Prosperity V.S. False Prosperity.
One of my previous blogs discussed how to make withdrawals from “The Blessing of God“. I also made mention of the “blockers” in our lives that prevent the “withdrawals”. One of those keys to obtaining was a “Pure heart” and an “Un-pure heart”. That brings me to the clue I came across in my detective work about “True Prosperity in the Kingdom of God.“
Clue #3. Purity of Heart. “Purity of Heart is free from things that contaminate; unpolluted, free; genuine, not religious”.
True prosperity comes from a pure heart 2 Timothy 2:19-21—the next blog investigation will look at “Purity:the Gateway for Miracles and Prosperity”
